September 2007: Pour Sonotubes

You would not think that cardboard would weigh that much, but it does. the tubes weighed at least 50-60 lbs. A majority of them were 24" and the 3 larger tubes were 36", they were such a pain to maneuver. The weight of the logs are going to weigh over 100,000 lbs, which is why we need such a beefy foundation.

Looks like all your piers are 2' wide
except for your center ones that are 3' diameter as mentioned.

WOW they are massive,
how thick did you have to pour your footer for those piers?

By the way great job on your build looks very nice.

Footer is 12" deep x 24" wide.
4x4' pads under the big center tubes. 36" was def. Overkill.
