We've been in the new place for a couple weeks now. Slowly getting the garage organized. Jessica found a place that blows mulch so we had them do the doggy area. Much softer on the paws. Jessica working from home in her office nook. Tv and stereo (mini Bluetooth amp and 3"s home made speakers)just barely fit in the corner. Here's the finished laundry room. We made a new top and Jessica stained it. Laundry bags on the wall that Mom made, thanks! Ian and Gage playing checkers after a long day of moving! Thanks guys. Tired puppies too.

We finished the fence for the puppies, seems to blend in nicely to nature and not block the view, doggies will be happy to go in and out whenever they like. Jessica got everything cleaned up nicely today. Ready for moving on Saturday! Last couple loads of gravel in the driveway, hey look a truck actually fits in the garage with +6' in front to still work.

Worked from home today doing some remote work. Fridge was delivered at 7am, deck was started (just needs railing), garage storage door installed, finished closet shelves, and added some cabinet hardware. Almost there! Internet guys were also out but I guess they need to add an amplifier at the bottom of the hill, so we wait again. Desk works great! Need a better chair though. Who would have thought a $12 magnet with wheels would work so well! Surprised nobody got a flat yet. Final load of gravel coming tomorrow.

Built a desk so Jessica can work from home when needed, and made a shelf that the TV will hopefully fit on ;) We built some shelves for the garage, and Jessica stained all the kitchen shelves. Finished the shelves after work today: Also had the turkeys visiting...

We finished the flooring (waiting for the stair nose to finish the top), and carpet is in up the stairs. electricians are done so ceiling fans and outside lights are in, as well as hot water! Tied in the hood vent (still undecided if we will close it in to hide the pipe or paint it Black to make out stand out). Moved the dryer vent as it was in the way of the lower roof line, and made a dump run. Should have last load of gravel to finish driveway soon, and a couple small things like handrail and outside deck, then final inspection. Sunsets are nice out here. Still need more tree trimming.

Outside is completed! They finished painting the exterior the other day. We wrapped up the bathroom, trimmed out the window with PVC. And installed our entry hardware too. As soon as the gutters are on the garage door can finally come out of hiding.

Siding is done (no paint yet, might be too cold)! Sure looks different now. Ian came down from BC for a visit this weekend, got a bike ride in, and then worked on pantry shelves and also moved the stove up.

Now that the flooring is finished, we installed kitchen cabinets and bath vanity . Countertops almost done just need a bit of finishing around the edges. Siding guy is making good progress too. Also found a good deal on a new stove, picked it up the other day. Just need microwave and fridge. Down to 4 weeks. We just had our first snow!! Not even October yet geez!

Electricians were out and finished about 90% of final. Just a couple ceiling fans and the outside lighting after siding is completed. Framers are also back to finish the roof line, and siding is getting started.

Spent the day installing the flooring, about 75% done, just need to finish bedroom and closet. Click together, floating, easy install. 100% waterproof too. The turkeys were hanging out in the yard. Pressure tank for the water system was also installed.

Cleaned the dust Thursday night after work. Took Friday off and sprayed 10 gallons of primer , went pretty quick, 2 hours for entire garage and all upstairs, not including setup and cleaning. Today spraying paint. The "mix" turned out a bit darker than we thought so Jessica is running to hardware store to pick up a couple gallons of white to mix in :) Sprayer had a problem with one of the internal check valves, cost me a couple hours of messing around until I fixed it. About 12 gallons of paint was enough to do 2 coats on everything. Ready for cleanup, and picking  up flooring today.

The drywall mud is done and the texture should hopefully be sprayed tomorrow. And the garage door is installed, yay! Should be priming inside before the end of the week and using some vacation days.

The crew has almost finished hanging all the drywall, should be mudding tomorrow.

We have drywall starting to be hung, hopefully they'll be done quickly so we can start painting. Water is in and coming into the garage as well;) We started digging fence posts today for the puppies, should have the 4x4's in tomorrow. We also accepted an offer on our place in town! So everything has to be done by October 7! Got a handful of fenceposts in the ground today. Layla is supervising.
