Drain field was inspected and passed, so we backfilled it today. Also got our water line deeper as the previous owners hit rock when it was trenched in.


We are closer to being ready to get our water meter installed and tie in conduit for cable.

I can only hope, but you are putting a ton of work into your place (looks awesome BTW), once you are done with the roof it goes pretty quickly.

Kitchen almost done!

 Kitchen cabinets were delivered a couple weeks ago, we got everything installed. Also got lucky and find a range hood cover that was the perfect size and a really good deal, so picked it up and installed it.  Got the vent insert nstalled this weekend. Finished some lighting above the sink and in the hallway as well as the island plugs and dishwasher.  We installed the shower slider doors in the master as well, and the mirror above the vanity.   Oh and we also got fridge, stove and dishwasher delivered!

Board & Batten started

One of the last major things on the outside was to finish the gable ends. Getting tired of looking at the "84 Lumber Tyvek" up there. We picked up 1x12 #3 pine boards, & 1x2 #1 grade battens from a local Menards, not a bad price & better quality then other lumber yards. Saturday we installed all the 1x12 boards, I was on the ladder nailing & measuring, & Jessica was doing all the cutting on the miter saw down below. We started on the back side of the house. Once all the 1x12's were up, we nailed the 1x2 battons along the bottom & up along the roof line. Then we added the vertical pieces in-between. Here's the back side finished, it was getting a bit dark so the picture is fuzzy. Next weekend we'll tackle the front.
