We have walls :)

Well, we had walls before, but they look more like walls now. After seeing the framing for so long now, I was quite surprised how different everything looked when we walked in the door on Saturday.

We only have 1 more day of chinking left, so we're looking forward to that.
Next weekend we hope to have all the walls primed & painted as well, then onto flooring & cabinets.

Wow! What a difference a little drywall makes. Looks good guys. Seems like it should be downhill from here on in.

Yep excited that this went alright, so hopefully the painting goes well too, then we can learn to do tile.

Jessica & I needed to figure out what stain to use to protect the logs. We ordered samples from 3 different companies (listed below). Loft joists are finished

Finally got back down to the house today (did I mention night work stinks??) & finished off the other 1/2 of the loft floor joists. Ready for some OSB decking on-top. The bottom will be covered with drywall & the top will likely stay unfinished.

Kitchen almost done!

 Kitchen cabinets were delivered a couple weeks ago, we got everything installed. Also got lucky and find a range hood cover that was the perfect size and a really good deal, so picked it up and installed it.  Got the vent insert nstalled this weekend. Finished some lighting above the sink and in the hallway as well as the island plugs and dishwasher.  We installed the shower slider doors in the master as well, and the mirror above the vanity.   Oh and we also got fridge, stove and dishwasher delivered!
