Drywall is delivered

We found a drywall crew that will install & finish all the interior walls & ceiling.
The supply guys showed up this morning & brought in all the sheetrock. The nice thing about not getting it from a standard "big box" home store, the drywall can be ordered in larger sheets.

Here's some for the ceiling, 16' long, wow!


We also taped off some logs using blue painters tape, (an idea from Chris the other weekend).


Here's a picture that shows a couple rows of each, some that were taped, & others that weren't.
The taping takes a bit of time, but not having to clean the logs after is worth it!! (I labeled each that were taped and not taped)


Hopefully by the weekend we'll have the drywall done.

Wow, I like the blue masking tape trick. Looks like it's worth the time and expense, though I think I might try to find a less costly tape. (perhaps plain masking tape?)

Yah we spent about $50 on blue tape, & that was only used on 1/2 the inside, so it could add up. But the cleanup time is so much less!!!

Regular tape would probably work, I just wouldn't want to leave it bake in the sun, it may be problematic to get off. Inside it would likely be fine.

Kitchen almost done!

 Kitchen cabinets were delivered a couple weeks ago, we got everything installed. Also got lucky and find a range hood cover that was the perfect size and a really good deal, so picked it up and installed it.  Got the vent insert nstalled this weekend. Finished some lighting above the sink and in the hallway as well as the island plugs and dishwasher.  We installed the shower slider doors in the master as well, and the mirror above the vanity.   Oh and we also got fridge, stove and dishwasher delivered!

Loft joists are finished

Finally got back down to the house today (did I mention night work stinks??) & finished off the other 1/2 of the loft floor joists. Ready for some OSB decking on-top. The bottom will be covered with drywall & the top will likely stay unfinished.
